These days I live on a mountain, hike with my dogs, build AI systems, trading algorithms, run and build businesses, and teach meditation.
Who am I?
A question I have asked many times over and continue to answer daily.
I’m a character in a movie.
I’m a player in a game.
I’m a spirit in a body.
Multi-cultural, multi-disciplined, multi-lingual.
Not Chinese enough to be Chinese,
too Chinese to be Surinamese,
too Surinamese to be Colombian.
Too rich to be poor, too poor to be rich.
I was born in Suriname, influenced by a Colombian mom, Dutch education, American cartoons, Japanese video games, Caribbean culture, Chinese roots, and a silent dad.
I grew up behind the counter at my mom’s supermarket, ringing people up, helping with admin, and selling fireworks.
It was pretty ghetto.
One time, I saw one of the employees swing a machete at a customer.
In a past life,
I made mojitos behind bars,
was part of a cult,
danced at bachata festivals across Europe,
fell in love and got my heart broken.
I lost my dad, and my half-siblings took me to court.
I basically needed a LOT of therapy, coaching, and healing.
Connecting to spirit keeps me grounded.
